work with us!!

There are many ways to share
what we are learning
about ways to walk together
in kind and meaningful ways
with each other here in the US
and around the world.

we continue to research, share,
endorse while applying international humanitarian standards of neutrality, inclusivity and impartiality.

It is transformative to continually
meet the many unselfish, generous
people  - grateful
simply for
our noticing them, grateful beyond measure for our listening to their
stories and their songs, holding their children,
responding with
consistent listening and caring.

Most children and families we work with have been victims of unspeakable, sometimes intergenerational  brutality and oppression, extreme trauma, neglect and deprivation, often gender based
violence. While there are those who may have preconceived ideas about westerners, or middle-hasteners, or South Americans, etc., as being exploitive, most people are in fact, receptive to the point of being vulnerable to "foreigners".

We would love to have you join us
with your attention and good intentions! thoughts and energies, innovative ideas, helpful suggestions and experiences
about ways by which we can "listen better" to children in vulnerable places.

Our nonprofit can use assistance developing and operating our organization, creating and supporting sustainable projects for children and parents/caretivers (and assessing for skills necessary for specific vulnerable populations who will arrive as refugees and asylum-seekershere in the US and those with whom we will continue to be  working globally.

We need fundraisers, donors, and grant-writers.

We can use development specialists, web- skilled individuals, artists and teachers-to-be, young photographers, photojournalists,  . . computer geeks. .
it is your generation we are looking to encourage, protect, nurture, and support around the world, and if you will join us, we will mentor you with our varied knowledge banks and assist you to find your way through the humanitarian maze as we know it  . . .

children worldwide are being uprooted, forcibly displaced at increasingly higher rates from their homes, separated from
their families. most die from injury, illness, starvation, attempting to reach borders of their countries. those who reach borders are in poor shape, highly vulnerable to abduction, trafficking.
we currently collaborate with and give psychological support to those serving them there (see below) -- we are also successfully writing grant appeals for emergency services in areas of active, protracted conflict and for training others in the prevention of gender-based violence and other prevention-related topics (Burundi). we have assisted country leaders to collaborate in advocating for themselves, for example, with NEAR HUMANITARIAN NETWORK, achieving excellent results-- obtaining high rates of funding through international grantors for sub-saharan nations  who historically have awarded high amounts of monies primarily to Northern Hemisphere countries who are small and low in need, only allotting substandard, trickle-down, leftover substandard amounts to the impoverished, Southern Hemisphere countries not organized enough to advocate for themselves. Pending funding needed to apply , we hope to acquire ALNAP status to further benefit our subsaharan countries such as Burundi.
